suggested by: Audra Photography		 :: This outdoor chapel is perched on top of an exposed rock ledge.  It has ocean views and is surrounded by well kept flower gardens and mature trees.  A perfect Maine location for an intimate wedding ceremony.  The wooden chapel is painted dark brown with matching wooden benches. One of my favorite features of this little chapel is the stone floor.

There are beautiful stone stairs leading up to the chapel on the left and right sides of the huge rock ledge.  Trees overhead create a romantic tunnel above each set of stairs.  Just outside the chapel is an old bell…it is tradition to give it a ring just after your wedding ceremony!

As you arrive, the driveway makes a lovely little loop (perfect for an elegant entrance) and the natural stone path leads you through a wooden arch, past several little flower gardens and up the stone stairs on the left side of the rock ledge.

The Vesper Hill Children’s Chapel can be rented for 2 hours.  In my opinion the chapel holds 30-40 guests…however they say it seats 50 and I have seen 100 before squeeze inside and peer through the windows around the edges! For more information contact Merryspring Nature Park in Camden at 236-2239. It is open mid-April to the end of October. ::
